I never really was given candy when I was a child. My mom gave me fruit. I grew up in the country in Texas. My mom would usually buy me my own bag or plums or grapes. That made me so happy. I felt like a little princess.
We had a garden with greens, corn, beans and even watermelons. Sometimes I would get to ride the tractor with my grand father. Those times were simpler but exciting to me. Times were still good but after one Halloween when I had my first piece of candy the world opened up to me. I remember my aunt gave me a miniature snicker's bar. My aunt was astonished because I gave it back to her. I didn't know what a candy bar was. After my mom said it was ok to accept the candy, I took it. Later that night I took a bite. It was love at first bite.
I have since tried almost every type of candy there is. My candy favorite of this week is sour gummy life savers. Gummy and ultra sour but sweet and chewy. My love for candy has grown into an all out marriage. Lets go on a stroll down candy lane and talk about our love of candy.
